A nice hot shower is wonderful after a long hard day but how much better would that shower be with a dual shower head?

Double showerheads come in a variety of compositions; some offer a regular shower head and a handheld while others have two heads that spray at the same time.

If you have never showered with one of these units, you do not know what you are missing!

You have a wide range of options with these types of shower heads from basic features to more advance.

A basic model will give you two heads that spray at the same time and offer varying intensity water spray while more advanced models may give you the ability to set the nozzles at different angles and intensities.

Either way once you have tried a dual head shower you will throw all other shower heads away forever!

It is important to note here that there is a big difference between your average shower head and one that is designated as rain.

Some people are not as fond of the rain type shower heads; the most common complaint is a lack of water pressure. Others are quite pleased with them so you may want to ask around about a specific model before purchasing a dual shower head.

Today's Discussion

How can I get a suction cup to stick to my shower wall?
I purchased a dual head shower head today, and the handheld nozzle is supposed to hang in a device that suction cups to the shower wall. I have a shower stall (Nylon? Vinyl? I'm not sure...) that has a very slight texture to it. The suction cup will not stick. What can I do to modify the cup or wall to make it stick? Thanks! And yes, I am trying to stick it to the wall. Not the shower curtain. Thanks for all of your answers so far. I will give best answer tomorrow!

It will only stick to certain surfaces. Its sounds like it may not stick to your wall, but if you make sure your wall is clean and dry and wet down the suction cups and stick them to your dry surface and they still don't stick then it ain't gonna work.

If the suction cup is the problem: this sounds weird but it works. first put it over a pot of boiling water for about 20 minutes. once you are done with that, try it again. that will make it stick better to the wall. but if it doesn't then its the wall's fault. If the wall is the problem: if your shower is white than you could glue a white peice of plastic to the wall and then stick the suction cup on that. this will work because the plastic is smoother than the nylon or vinyl. aslo it sounds as if you were talking about the shower curtain. if you are then just try my first suggestion on the wall not the shower curtain. Hope this helps.

The wall needs to be free of any soap scum or sliminess. Wash the area with a good soap scum product, if that doesn't work you may want to use something a bit stronger like mineral spirits to clean that area. Clean the suction cups too while your at it in case they have soap film on them now.

Put a little water on the suction cup itself, it should stick after that.......

I recently added a shower caddy to my shower but it has the small tiles on the wall. So I put a little silicone caulk on the suction cups and then stuck them on. Works great ! I also put a heavy mirror on my daughter's dorm wall the same way, because they can't make holes in the wall, and it is still up after a couple months. Tyhat way when it comes time to take it down, it will be easily removed and no holes.

Get it good & dry then use some Super Glue..(any brand)

Try some sort of glue, try liquid nails, read first what kinds of surface it is meant for or some kind of an epoxy. But be wear, once the suction cup is glued it is permanent. If you pry the suction cup off sometime down the road, it will probably leave some kind of resin behind. Captain, Chris W T ATP- Lear 45, B747- A380 - A318 CFI
