Yes that happens to us as well. We also use Enfamil gentlease. And the trick to getting rid of the foam...gas drops! We put in a small amount of Mylicon gas drops in every bottle. It gets rid of the foam like magic. It has definitely helped our baby with his gas problem.

I used it, and it did that for me, too. This hobo outside once told me to use the old keg beer trick. Wipe the oil off your face and swish your finger in the stuff and it will go away. (i dont know, though).

I use Enfamil Lipil with Iron, and it does the same thing. It says to shake it up with the dome on, but after I do that, I take the dome off until my son is ready to eat. The air getting to it seems to help the foam go down faster. I don't know of anything else that works, so give it a try. Or if you don't mind doing dishes, you could mix the formula in one bottle and then pour it into another bottle. That would help reduce the foam. Just make sure you burp a lot, since there is more air getting into that little tummy. PLEASE don't stick your germy finger in his bottle...you wouldn't want someone sticking their finger in you food or drink, would you? Also, if you're worried about constipation, my doctor told me that Mylicon and Gripe Water can cause constipation...so watch out for that.
