Today's Discussion

How can I show better facial expressions/emotions when acting?
I find it a bit hard to show facial expressions when I'm acting because I'm just a beginner really and been in only one musical. What can I do to improve the elasticity of my face or to help convey proper emotions? I was thinking maybe I have to get my eye brows done or something or maybe remove a bit more hair from my forehead.

You have to actually BE the character - relate to what the character is going through as if it were you. If you can manage to lose yourself within the character, your acting will be much better and the expressions will come through naturally because you are actually feeling what they are.

Exagerate, blow everything way out of proportion when you rehearse by yourself. Then, as Stanislavski said - "cut ninety percent"

The Ultimate Choice
step out of yourself and become the character you are acting as.
