Here's a link that links you to several different tutorials. I suggest you see what others have done, and you can pick and choose the methods that you want to use to make your own unique wings: Wire coat hangers seem to be a popular material, but you can get 8, 10, 12 gauge wire and see what works for you. I would personally wrap the wire with cloth tape so that the wing fabric can be sewn to it. The most difficult decision is how you want to mount your wings - on a stabilizer that straps around your chest, elastic band that slip over your shoulders, etc. Look at what others have done, it may help you decide. You can color your material with dyes or paints. Jacquard is a good company for dyes or paints, depending on the cloth you choose and how transparent or opaque you want your wings. Have fun!
