Fender Guitars???
I am buying a guitar, and want some advice. I listen to tons of different music, ranging from Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Frank Zappa, and a lot of other 60s/70s artists to more modern acts like R.E.M., Pearl Jam, old school Red Hot Chili Peppers, even bands like Modest Mouse, and solo acts like Ray Lamontagne, Jack Johnson, and Amos Lee....so heres the quesiton of the day, what guitar should i buy??? I am considering either a tele or maybe a jaguar, i know there is a price difference, i am not extremely concerned, but which would be better overall? If not one of these guitars what would you recommend (i do really prefer fender though)???

Acoustic........"MARTIN"...with-out a doubt, SUPERIOR SOUND !! Electric.........."Telecaster" is good !

My husband has a fender that we both play. I live and die by the fender brand. The best sound great quality guitar and a real warranty. Trust your instincts go with the fender! Good luck with your new gituar!

ok so im assuming youd be playing that sorta music ya? and also that you dont already have any other guitars? id suggest goin with the tele i have one and although its not gotten played often lately wen i did play it was an awesome lil guitar i play a jackson now but i play much heavier music than wat youve listed lol but just off of my personal oppinion id suggest a jackson or even an ibanez not a cheapo ibanez a nice one lol but like i said i play heavier stuff. if you dont already have any guitars and play a variety of musics go with the tele good prices good equipment good sound good guitar. hope i could help im new with the yahoo answers lol

I do really prefer a Telecaster, I am in love with that guitar. Also, I prefer Epiphone, if you have any second thoughts.

I just got a fender and i like it. if youu don't know how to play guitar go with a fender starter but if you do know how to play still get a fender the only thing you really need is an amp that makes the guitar sound like your fav music

telecaster.... it's the best thing.. trust me..

Whoa! Between the tele and jaguar, i will choose the latter because it is less prone to interference than the telecaster. Tele is more popular choice though.

i always thought Zappa sounded the best when he played through a Gibson SG. unless your are after the specific tele or jaguar sound go with a strat. you seem to play a lot of different styles and genres and the strat will definately be the most versitile

Zappa played a Hagstrom Viking a lot. R.E.M.s Peter Buck plays Rickenbackers. Bob Dylan I think played a Gibson ES as well as acoustics. Each has a different sound. Don't try to find a single instrument that perfectly replicates what all those people (or even one of them) can do. Find a number of instruments that just sound and feel good to you and develop your own style (which may be inspired by others of course). Why do you prefer Fender? And why are you looking only solidbody electrics? If you were to buy a single guitar only, I'd probably choose a Hagstrom Viking of HJ600, maybe an Ibanez AF custom. But I have 3 instruments (though no solidbody electrics, and I don't miss them), each with its own personality and sound. And I don't think that's all I'll have a year from now...
