I once saw this amazing photography/art work. It was a guy on the internet who had taken pictures of flowers and then digitally played with light/etc. I can't find his website now though. I don't know his name. Any clues?

Wow, that could be just about anybody. Try googling "digitally enhanced flowers" or something similar, and go through them one by one until something looks familiar. Unless you remember a name of even one picture. Here's one I found that looks interesting:
