Here is a documentary about the possibility. I feel for the company cause I know a collaboration with M.J. isn't cheap. They probably paid him discreetly, to just be quiet,and allow them artistic license with his tunes.

yes you can. i own sonic mega collection and i was playing it today. i saw a video on youtube of the songs that are mjs and they were still there so yes they are.
