Portable GE Air conditioner wont turn on after storing for the winter?
I have a portable GE air conditioner for our living room. When bringing it out this summer from storing it all winter in the closet the unit will not power on. I have checked the circut, and it works with our window A/C unit. I'm thinking it could be a fuse but i dont see one. Any help would be appreciated

the motor could be bad. there should also be a capacitor on the motor which helps it start- its a oval silver item about the size of a pack of cigarettes or smaller with two wires attached to it. that could be bad also. you can get it tested at an electrical supply house like grainger.
