Today's Discussion

What's the name of the generic for Zyrtec and when is it supposed to be released in the US?
I think my doctor told me it would be November or December of this year (2007), but I am not sure.

Apo Cetirizine is a Generic Zyrtec

Lprod
Zetirizine is the active ingredient, don't know if they will keep that name for the generic thing. Don't know about the release date as I'm in Mexico, sorry.

Cetirizine is the generic name and it is already available online, not sure when it will be generic in the US

It looks like the generic form will be available December 25 of this year or shortly thereafter: "We are extremely pleased to receive this tentative approval and look forward to the expiration date of the patent on December 25, 2007, which will allow Caraco to market the product (Cetirizine).”

teffy
the generic for Zytec is Cetirizine and it will be available in time for the autumn allergy season.
