Today's Discussion

Is there any difference between Parent's Choice Gentle baby formula and Enfamil Gentlease Baby Formula?
besides the price? If so, what is it?

To determine that, go to the store and compare ingredients.....

Yes every brand is different, my son couldn't drink Enfamil at all. We used parents choice, but it just depends every baby is different.

My baby has been drinking Enfamil Gentlease, it's expensive, but he length are above average. My friends fed their baby Symilac, was cheaper, from what I heard, they gain in width. I don't know the Parent's Choice brand... though

All baby formulas are FDA regulated, so unless your child is having issues with the cheap one, use that and save some money.

Yes, one is generic and one is the good brand.

Just compare the ingredients on the can, Parents' choice is just the generic brand, and generic brands are typically the same thing as it's more expensive counter part. If your baby is fine with it, go ahead and you the generic brand. Save some money.

no there is not any difference. They both contain DHA&ARA and are 75% lactose free

All baby formula contents are regulated by the FDA so both formulas have to meet the same standards. Some formulas do differ in there non-nutrient ingredients or where they derive the nutrients from and this can sometimes lead to "taste" preferences but you are not depriving your child of anything by giving them the generic brand. So I say...as long as they will take it, you may as well save some money for diapers and use the generic brand. Also, many of the generic brands are made by the same companies that make the pricier brands - same factory, same content, different label, less money so look for where they are made

my daughter has been on both. neither one is "better" than the other. they are almost the same thing. one might have a slightly different level of a vitamin or a mineral than the other, but all formula is FDA approved if it is on the store shelf. my daughter was on parents choice for a year, and her growth and development and health are perfect. save some money and try the parents choice. switch if your baby has a reaction to it, but more than likely if your baby has had formula before, no adverse reactions will happen. by the way, my daughter had acid reflux until she was 5 months old, and there was no noticeable difference in the amount of spit-up or consistency between the two formulas, she was on enfamil for 3 weeks, then we switched to parents choice and she actually had less gas and no difference in spit-up.
