George Patton was an early advocate of tank warfare. In the early stages of WWII he fought in Sicily and North Africa. He was given command of the Third Army which raced across northern France following D-Day in June of 1944. He helped relieve the Americans in the Battle of the Bulge (dec. 1944).His nickname was "Old Blood and Guts." He died in a car crash soon after the warended in 1945.

he did very little in WW2 he failed in North Africa his Tanks were Inferior to the Tiger and Panzer and arrived in Europe leading the 3 army on 17August 1944 and was on Montgomery's Right Flank a secondary role and was told not to engage in a tank to tank battle and disobeyed orders and ran out of Fuel nearly causing the Right flank to Fail he did help with the Relief at bastone but it was the British in North africa that won the Battle in 1940 because Hitlers tanks at the Battle of the Bulge ran out of Fuel then they could use the tommy cookers (Sherman's) Most of Paton's achievements were in his own mind
