Selecting Girls Easter Dresses

girls easter dresses

One of the biggest traditions when it comes to the Easter Sunday holiday is dressing for the occasion, and picking out girls Easter dresses is one of the most significant parts of the tradition.

However, when it comes to the expense of these special outfits and the fact that your child will most likely have grown out of it by the time next year rolls around, it is beneficial to choose a dress that can be used for other occasions as well.

When you are shopping for an Easter dress, keep in mind other upcoming events such as family portraits, birthday parties, and other special family get-togethers and choose and outfit that would be suitable to wear on these occasions as well.

When selecting Girls Easter dresses you will want to be sure that the material of the dress is machine-washable and either requires very little or no ironing.

As with most children when it comes to these types of events involving outdoor fun, food, drinks, and candy, the occasional stain caused by a spill or dirt is most likely to happen and you will not have the extra expense of dry cleaning.

The most convenient way to shop for girls Easter dresses is online with retailers such as Amazon.com as the selection is larger than local retail stores and you will have no trouble in finding one which will also be suitable for other occasions.

Today's Discussion

Okay so girls wear Easter dresses...but what do you make your son(s) wear?
Just looking for ideas. Our son is 10 and it's getting a bit more difficult to dress him for church on Easter now that he's not a baby or a toddler lol BQ: For those who do Easter egg hunts for your kids, do you put money or candy in the eggs?

Aesa is Chasin' Mason!
I don't see what's difficult about it... What did you put him in as a toddler? Do the same thing, but bigger. I think slacks and a button down shirt is fine. Possibly a tie. You can dress a 10 year old the same way your husband would dress for Easter.

Gibby Girl is Tired!
He wears a nice golf shirt and khakis. Sometimes with a blazer or nice sweater.

Right, shirt, slacks and a tie. They sell Easter outfits exactly like that at Walmart, it's easy and not too expensive.

Retro Melon is a chick!
My son is five and he loves to wear suits. It makes him feel super handsome(cuz he is!)

I just did pants and a dress shirt for my son. Sometimes he wore a clip on tie.

well maybe mix up the eggs with a little of both. maybe a few nickles in one egg and 4 small pieces of candy in the other. and i believe a button down shirt and dress pants and maybe a clip on tie would do. Makes things a little easier. Maybe some nice shoes as well

Let him pick what he wears, by 10, he takes pride in the way he dresses and you don't want to humiliate him by making him look too "cute." As for Easter egg hunts, the dyed Easter eggs are hidden around the living room and kitchen by the easter bunny. There are 2 dozen of those. After they're all found, they are put back in the refrigerator so we can have them for breakfast throughout the following week. After that, we meet up with family and take the plastic eggs, put coins in most of them (nickles, dimes, quarters), and then put dollar bills in the last ones. The eggs are hidden around the yard (kids are kept inside while we hide them, with someone to make sure they don't peek out the windows), in gutters, trees, wedged in the fence, anywhere you can think of. The dollar bill eggs are the hardest to find. The candy goes in the Easter basket :-)

My son wears a button up shirt with a sweater vest and kahkis(sp?) or plaid shorts (love them! all spring/summer long!) with a polo style shirt. BQ: candy in all of them except the lucky egg---it has money in it.

My son will be wearing nicer jeans with a button down shirt and vest (he's only 17 months old though) I don't believe in "making" kids wear something specific, he's ten years old, take him shopping and see what he likes! As for Easter egg hunts, I will be making crocheted hacky-sack eggs for my son as he's allergic to eggs and usually our family does egg hunts with real hard boiled and dyed eggs. I do not think children need to focus on gathering as much money or candy as they can for Easter... that's not what Easter is about, but I do think that egg hunts are fun so, yeah... crocheted eggs that he can play with all year long as bean bags or with his kitchen stuff.

What's wrong with khakis and a blue button down shirt? And sometimes my son wears his kilt.

Sweetpea has a pea in the pod!
My son is still young enough for the short suits but an older boy would be handsome in a pair of khakis a yellow button down shirt and a sweater vest. Easter eggs have candy and toys in them not money as my children are still too young to care about quarters. A few years ago I found some big metal eggs and we reuse those every year for candy butt still dye normal ones

KC
I would dress him the way your SO dresses on Easter. I would put him in slacks, a nice button down shirt with a tie.
