Use aloe vera, the fresh stuff is best if you have a plant handy. That will sooth burnt skin. There's a reason that it's used for sun burns. It actually makes it stop hurting. Vinegar? Where did you hear to use that? I was a medical student and I never heard that one. After a burn, first thing you should do is put it in cool water. Not cold, cool. Once it stops burning, then cold water or even ice can be used to reduce swelling. Open burns are best if covered in ointment and then gauze. For a glue gun or any other first degree burns, cool it down and then just try not to rough up the skin or poke it. Aloe vera is your best bet.
