I have always enjoyed Summit racing. I am not sure what exactly you are looking for. But I have a 1989 K1500 Chevy pickup with a 5.0. Through Summit, I was able to purchase their own brand of headers and a "cat back" dual exhaust system for under $500. This system is CARB certified which means it was compliant with California smog. I then purchased a cam and lifters from my local machine shop for $200 that added excellent mid range torque. I did all of this myself in my driveway. The headers and dual exhausts were simple bolt ins that didn't require any hacking or special tools. I was able to do that within a Saturday afternoon. The cam and lifters were done the following Saturday. I have also learned over the years to check local machine shops for heads and other parts. Sometimes you will get lucky because someone in the past has dropped off a set of heads for machine work, then they never come back to pick them up. The machine shop doesn't want a set of heads taking up shelf space and will often make a smokin' deal on them.
