Will you help end greyhound slaughter? Recently in the UK newspapers the story of mass killing of ex-racing greyhounds (see link for story ). Following this there was there an overwhelming demand for the
opportunity to march and show objection to the continuing
abandonment and killing of greyhounds. There was a massive interest
in this on animal rescue forums and from various animal rescues.
Considerable efforts have been made to put this event in place.
The March for Greyhounds is scheduled to take place on Saturday 18th
November. Meeting at Whitehall Place, 1200. Departing at 1230.
Route: Whitehall Place, Whitehall, Cockspur St, Pallmall East , St
James Park , Piccadilly , Hyde Park Corner, Park Lane , Hyde Park
Arrive Hyde Park approx 1330 for Rally
We are asking for all who are interested in attending and showing
that this abuse cannot continue to take place, to let us know either
by posting on here or by pm to the poster of this message.
Numbers of attendees are required urgently because we need to inform
the police etc about how many are expecting to attend, but also
unless we get a reasonable attendance, the march could be cancelled,
this would we feel be sending out the message that people don't care
and the abuse and killing will be allowed carry on.
Please let me know what you think...

Ian, I am not talking about "old" greyhounds, I am talking about fresh off the track young greyhounds. I have had several myself and currently have 2, I have done fundraising for rehoming kennels for years and I am also involved in several groups that are dedicated to greyhounds. Its a fact that unwanted hounds ARE killed en masse!
