Can an electric igniter from a grill light a firework fuse?
I have a panel for launching fireworks from a distance. It uses model rocket igniters to set off the fuses. The local hobby store doesn't sell them anymore, so I was thinking of using the electric igniter from a grill to light the fuses instead.

Don't think this will work. You only get one spark from a grill igniter and it is not hot enough to light the fuse.

if you had one of those slick igniters that go off several times by just holding the button down. that kind should work cause it will get your fuse hot enough after a while but the igniters that only go of once defiantlywon't work because it will never get it hot enough

I'm not firmiliar with the ignition system you describe but check out the electric match kits at Skylighter: You have to get the dip kit and the ematch blanks below the kit on the page to make an electric match. I'm not really sure if those'll work with the system you've got but if you send them an email with the specs of the system I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
