Many individuals have discovered that hanging wine racks are very beneficial when it comes to integrating style, space, and beauty into the home. If you find that you are often strapped for space when it comes to your kitchen or recreational area, you will find that these are the storage products that you need.

There are two types when it comes to hanging wine racks. These types include the one that conveniently hangs from the ceiling and those that attach to the wall instead. In order to determine the best choice for your home, you must first factor in some important points.

First and foremost, does your home have the capability of holding the rack from the ceiling or from the wall?  While there are many homes that have a high level of durability and can support these hanging racks, there are some homes that are not designed to do so.

The next factor that should be considered is how large you need the product to be. This will depend on the glasses that will need to be stored on it. Finally, you should consider the types of glasses that can be held on the hanging rack. If you learn which types of the many racks are available, you will be able to choose from all the hanging wine racks on the market today.

Today's Discussion

Should I use a plastic anchor to mount a hanging wine rack on the wall?
The wine rack has a mount with two screw holes, and then there are like three loopy metal pieces that hang off it with room for six wine bottles through the loops. My walls are plaster. I was planning on drilling a hole directly into the wall stud and using plastic expansion anchors. Will this work, or is there a better way? I've heard conflicting reports. I also bought some toggle bolts but it seems like a better idea to go directly into the stud. Do I even need anchors if screwing into the stud? Thanks!

I would toggle bolts.

You don't need anchors if you are sure you are hitting the studs.

if hitting the studs no anchors needed, if not use the toggle bolts, plastic anchors suck.

The best thing is to screw straight into the stud otherwise you may lose your wine. You don't need an anchor if you do that, just ordinary wood screws at least two inches long

Wall anchors won't work in the studs.
