What happens if you leave the idle air control valve electronics broken?
I've been trying to get this stupid Ford Escort to stop jerking while driving and accidentally broke the idle air control electronic connector (I'm pretty sure- behind the engine on the throttle body intake). I still haven't fixed the jerking, which is pretty severe, and was wondering if I can leave the IAC to be fixed later, while still driving it a small amount. The car started fine but I haven't run it long term yet.
