A Kitchenaid flat beater has a number of important applications. For those of those of you that never heard of this helpful appliance, we explain it in some detail.

The flat beater is actually a type of blade that is used as an attachment for an electric mixer.

These devices are used to mix everything from eggs to cakes mixes to cookie dough. In fact, they are all but indispensible for anyone who enjoys baking and has a large family.

Of course, like any kitchen appliance, a mixer is used to save time and to produce better-tasting food.

Getting back to the flat beater, it is probably the most popular and effective mixer blade as it scrapes the bottom and sides of the mixing bowl, which completely eliminates dimples and properly incorporates all of the flour.

Though the mixing times do vary, it is said that an electric mixer with a flat beater attachment blade can reduce prep time by more than fifty percent. The blade itself acts like a windshield wiper, as it is shaped like a wing and it can reach those hard to hit places.

What to look for? When buying a flat beater blade, make sure that you purchase one that is dishwasher safe.

This shouldn’t be a problem, as most blades these days are made of Teflon, which can either be washed by hand or in the machine. A Kitchenaid flat beater blade attachment can be located online or at most major department stores.

don't know if I can help because Im not there to see it.Does the motor humm when you turn it on or is it quiet.Try plugging it into a different outlet or try running it without any attachments on it.What were you doing before it went kaput?were you mixing cement and it hardened in the bowl? The reason I ask is because these Kitchen aide stand mixers are prety indestructible in most cases.
