mego action figures

The Mego action figures which were manufactured by the "Mego Corporation" during the 1970s were the primary choice among action figures collectors and sold out almost immediately upon each new release.

Today these figures can sell for thousands of dollars and are considered one of the most highly-prized collectibles when it comes to the avid collector of action figures. The Mego Corporation obtained the licenses for some of the worlds most famous movies, comic books, and television programs including the "Wizard of Oz", "Planet of the Apes", and "Star Trek".

The most popular line of Mego action figures was their "World's Greatest Super Heroes" series which included the most well known characters from the "Marvel" and "DC Comic" books such as "Batman", "Batgirl", "Captain Marvel", "Superman", and "Spiderman".

Mego also produced action figures of famous musicians and entertainers with their most popular ones being "Cher" and "Kiss". The Mego Corporation went out of business shortly after filing for bankruptcy in 1982 however, many of the Mego action figures can still be purchased today through dealers on Amazon.com including many of the harder to find superhero action figures from the their "World's Greatest Super Heroes" series.

Today's Discussion

How should I go about selling a 1972 MEGO Tarzan 8" action figure?
My mother has an original Mego 8" Super-heroes Tarzan Action Figure #1305. It's still in its original box, and even has the knife. I don't know where to start looking or what price to charge, but mum is interested in selling it. But she has even less of an idea about computers than I do, so it's fallen to me to find out about it...... Any help would be greatly appreciated....

dude you are sounding pretty lame. get a life and stop selling dumb ass action figures that you should of never bought to begin with. You sound like even more of a sissy bringing your mum into the situation.

You could probably sell it on e-bay but I would try www.kijiji.com and sell it somewhere locally. The site is free,You could probably ask close to $85.00 for it if it is still in the box. That's about what I would ask for it if I had it in my store.Hope this helps.
