Marriage is work; there are no two ways about it. You cannot have a strong relationship without working at it. Sometimes it seems like you have tried everything and nothing seems to bring back that special spark. One of the biggest destroyers of marriage today is boredom and complacency. When the sparks have died down, romance consists of a peck on the cheek, and a quick "I love you" before going to sleep it becomes harder to remember just why you married this individual. The good news is you can mend your marriage with just a few simple tips.

Men and women are different creatures who respond to different things. While this is not earth shattering news, it is important to understand when you want to mend your marriage. Men and women experience and express love in different ways and when you understand the love language of your partner you are better prepared to mend you marriage.

Another tip that will help you mend you marriage is to consider the priority you put on the relationship. Everyone is busy today and no one plans to move his or her marriage to the bottom of the priority chart, but too often, that is exactly what happens. Learn simple ways to move your marriage back to the top of the heap of things you need to accomplish.

When you want to mend your marriage, it is easy to go into panic mode, especially if you feel your partner drifting away. However, the best thing you can do is remain calm and focused on your purpose. Think back to when you first met, what did you do to woo him? What little things did you do for her that made her giggle in delight? These are all things you need to incorporate back into your marriage.
