Elevate port flavor by finding the perfect port wine glasses. Port is a sweet, strongly flavored wine that is the perfect ending to a good meal and a cause for celebration.

Because port contains a higher alcoholic content than most other wines, port glasses are designed to be smaller than traditional wine glasses.

Allowing the port to be slowly slipped and enjoyed. Port glasses are stunningly designed, with tall slender bowls, narrow rims and long flutes to provide eye catching service and make the port the focal point of any tasting.

Fine crystal port wine glasses allow you to fully experience the color and clarity of port. The crystals design allows for the optimum enjoyment of the unique aroma and blend of fruity flavors. Many port glasses are designed to be dishwasher safe and won't become dull or clouded with use.

Titanium crystal port glasses and lead crystal are preferred for drinking port. Lead crystal is featured in high quality port glasses for its durability and aesthetic appeal. Titanium crystal is used for those who prefer a glass that is basically indestructible for clumsy house guests.

For a wedding present or birthday gift for a wine enthusiast a bottle of port and a set of port wine glasses is the perfect way to celebrate.

Today's Discussion

I had two glasses of port wine last night at the movie theater?
I had never had it before and don't know much about it, but I thought I'd try it. It was very good, but by the time I stood up to leave, I realized that I was very tipsy! Normally, two glasses of wine do nothing to me. What is the typical alcohol content of port? The kind I had was Messina Hoff Ebony of Ports. It's a Texas winery. Not sure if that makes any difference, but I thought I'd throw that in.

it's a fortified portugese wine with about 2x the alcohol content. and plus you weren't moving around that much, so think of it as almost 5 glasses of wine :)

I live near that winery. Port Wine has a higher alcohol content that regular wine. This is caused by the addition of distilled grape spirits to fortify the wine and halt fermentation before all the sugar is converted to alcohol. Port wine has an average alcohol content of about 18%, while regular wine on the average has about 13%.

Port wines are called Dessert wines, very sweet and flavorful. Their alcohol content is much higher than regular wine, about 15-20% alcohol versus 10-15% regular wine. There are many labels around, but they are all come in a 1/2 small bottle. Typical identified as Port Wine. If you like Port Wines, you may also try Riesling wines ( it is a type of wine) also sweet, but not as much as Port
