Many individuals have discovered that they may benefit in several different ways by harnessing the power of positive thinking. Psychologists, psychiatrists, self-help specialists, and others in the field of self improvement all agree that the official building blocks of the reality that each of us experience are the beliefs that we have within us. It is important to understand that what we believe or perceive is our reality. Beliefs are what shape us as individuals, guide us, and dictate what will occur in each of our lives. Negative beliefs, naturally, result in negative consequences. Positive beliefs, however, result in positive consequences. Knowing these simple truths is the first step on benefiting from the power of positive thinking.

If you want to improve your level of positive thinking, you must first identify the types of negative thinking that you experience. Consider that which you believe about yourself. Then, think carefully on what you believe about others. Evaluate how you feel about certain situations and events in life, then determine what thoughts seem to negatively impact you and your life and change them. It is important to understand that negative thoughts are learned behaviors. In order to transition from the negative to the positive, you must undergo a type of behavior modification. In order to succeed, you must believe that the modifications will be positive.

If you want to benefit from the power of positive thinking, you must be willing to commit to your goal on a daily basis. Your mind has been subjected to negative thoughts your whole life. You will not become successful overnight in transitioning from the negative to the positive. Daily attempts to thinking positive will ultimately reinforce your ability to experience the positive thoughts and beliefs that you desire. What difference is there between the POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING, MEDITATION and Belief in God?
I don't see much. What do you think?

The first two are self-centered modes of concentration. The last one is God-centered.

Positive thinking and meditation have absolutely nothing to do with the belief in god! I can very easily meditate or think positive and I do not believe in a god or gods!

They are all imaginary( meaning they will only work inside ones imagination) beliefs is all!

The power of positive thinking and meditation can be studied and proved beneficial

Just the focus. Other than that, all will have basically the same results.

There are massive differences between the three: Meditation can being about positive thinking. The process and goal of meditation is to empty the mind. To this end finding the right meditation for yourself is a good thing. You do not have to be going for enlightenment for it to help life so much. A person who is more relaxed by emptying the mind will have a much more positive focus. Positive thinking is a very powerful tool to aid progress. Research by Richard Wiseman shows that there is no such thing as Luck in the supernatural form. What we call luck is indeed the ability to focus on those things that bring a better life. What is often referred to as the "Law of Attraction" is mostly positive focus and thinking. (some is just the same old BS that one comes to expect from this sort of area of thinking) Belief in God is a belief in something that does not exist and has so much negativity around it. Now, once I would have said that all there was to religion was 'this is bad'. don't do that', etc. and in this category one would be mistaking for believing that to be so. However, I was a political and organising agent for the Liberal Democratic Party. I loved helping and building. What I observed within the core of activists and other major supporters was a tremendous love. A love which crossed religious bounds. We had people from all major religions. I as a radical atheist and free thinker was, not just accepted, I was shown love and full acceptance. They all were such positive people and it showed. Now, it is so that there is no god, however, it can be possible to make religion positive, just in this category we do see so little of it.

Power of Positive Thinking and Meditation man trying to gain acceptance by God by trying to make oneself a better person. We can't never make ourselves good enough to be accepted by God. God is totally righteous while humans are totally unrighteous. Just believing in God is not sufficient to make us acceptable to God.....We must trust Jesus to be our Lord and Savior. Salvation is achieved only through Jesus. He was the only person even born that was sinless, thus being the only acceptable sin sacrifice. Jesus, who is God came from heaven to die for our sins. We don't earn our way to heaven and righteousness, but it a free gift of Jesus. We only have accept his gift, acknowledge our need for a Savior, confess our sins, and ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior. As followers of Jesus our sin debt was 100% paid by Jesus and we became acceptable as a new being in the eyes of God the Father. AS true Christians were are justified by the shed blood of Jesus.

Well, originally the "power of positive thinking" was a Christian idea. Norman Vincent Peale. But that's been hijacked into this New Age business of "the secret." It's about bringing better things into your life. Meditation is stopping the constant background chatter of your brain. It calms your heart beat. Aleviates your stress levels. Belief in God is extremely varied. Hence the many Christian denominations.

Positive thinking is a way of thinking which is based on overcoming the negative thoughts and think instead of useful, happy things. Meditation is an activity that relies on the breathing skills. it is done when people are under stress, in order to calm them down. however people who think positively are less prone to stress, thus do not require as much meditation as a negative thinker. Belief in God has nothing to do with meditation and positive thinking. many people belief in god because they cant stand to think for a moment that there is no higher power that can hear prayers and save people. thus this creates an illusion of feeling safe. however a person can live a meaningful, strong, happy life without believing in god.

1. Power of positive thinking involves your conscious self-statements. It works on retraining your unconscious attitudes ... but unless it is properly done it is ineffective. 2. Meditation promotes higher brain activity in our right brain. Right brain activity is basically inner peace and joyfulness, increase identification and compassion with life and others. When we stop meditating, our brain activity levels go back to the predominant left-brain functions. But the more we meditation (over a period of months and years), the higher our right-brain levels tend to remain even when we are not meditating. Which is why long-term meditation usually increases happiness and decreases worry and irritability. 3. Belief in God is similar to the power of positive thinking. It involves self-statements that help us feel a sense of being protected and looked after. However, long-term such cognitive activity increases an external locus of control. "Locus of control" (LOC) is a psychological term referring to where we think control over ourselves and life rests. The more we attribute that control to something outside of ourselves, the more we have an external LOC. The more we attribute control as residing within us, by us, the more we have an internal LOC. Psychological research has found that the greater our external LOC, the greater the vulnerability to clinical depression.
