Today's Discussion

Is it legal to print art off the internet for personal use?
I'm making an "inspiration board" for my room and want to print art from the web that inspires me. I am not intending for anyone to see this but me and these won't be used commercially AT ALL. They're just something to trigger my creative process and help me refine what I like. Is it legal to do this? I don't want to infringe on anyone's copyrights and the definitions of "fair use" I've seen are a little confusing.

I don't think there wil be legal problems with that since you are using it only for personal reasons and you are not redistributing it

a lot if it depends on where you got it and whether or not the author copyrighted it or not? :0)

It IS perfectly legal. This falls within copyright law's "Fair Use" doctrine. Here is the link to the official US Government Copyright Office website.
