Tips on Buying Queen Bed Frames
Buying queen bed frames can be a chore, but there are some simple things you can do to find the exact frame you want.
First of all, measure your bed. Even though your bed may be a queen size, it is still a good idea to find the exact measurements, because mattresses as well as frames are not one size fits all.
Some frames may actually be wide enough, but not long enough to fully cover the bottom of the bed.
Even if you aren't using a head and base board, the only way to get that length is to get a board frame.
You also want a frame with adequate support in the middle. Some may have the support beam, but it needs at least one leg in the middle. Otherwise, the center of the bed will eventually begin to sag.
If you get an adjustable size frame, make sure that you also purchase frame clamps, to secure it tightly. Many queen bed frames have plastic inserts which wear out extremely fast causing the frame to squeak and go out of size.
