yes i know of the rainbow bridge.and um i dont believe they will fight over u ut stay by ur side as a loyal companions for eternity,i have had 8 dogs die.

That story is so sad, they won't fight for you they will just be glad that they are in your presence again! One of my dogs past last year ...worse ever went through everything! But it makes dying a little easier..don't ya think?

I just read the story of Rainbow Bridge...it was sweet. I'd never heard of it before so thanks for sharing it with us. I think they won't fight for you. They all love you and will share you. Just be glad you didn't have elephants or we might have had a problem! :)

It is a nice poem, however, I have my own theory on pets and the pain you feel from their loss. Humans actually have the ability to transfer their souls and emotions into all that they interact with, an animal is naturally susceptable to this ability that we have. You actually alter the animal into an extension of youself. The animal is in tune with your emotions and needs, and you are in tune with their's as a result. Whenever the animal dies, you are not sad at the loss of the physical body, but instead feel as if massive chunk of yourself has left you. When the life of the animal passed, it let the part of your soul you instilled in them free. When you pass, you will again met with your soul, your pet, and feel whole again. All the happiness and joy you have instilled will be returned to you. I miss my departed animals, no matter how stubborn, how sneaky, or how goofy they might have been, they will always be a part of me and me a part of them.
