Don't make her believe her doll is a real baby. Let her do that on her own. U don't want her going around town telling people her doll is real becuz mommy said it was then u turn out to be the stupid one or ull get looks. If she asks for a real baby just tell her that her doll is her baby. Come up with a name for her and tell her to take care of her baby. Could she be hinting to YOU she wants a sibling?

Umm.... She's 4... She still plays pretend... What's wrong with her pretending she's a real mommy and her baby doll is a real baby? This sounds like normal play to me....

Why would you lie to your daughter like that? Obviously she already knows the difference between a real baby and a baby alive.She is smart human being and by all means deserves an explanation suited for her age as to why she cant get a real baby. Tell her that a baby requires a lot more work than a "baby alive" and that she might not be ready yet to have that kind of responsibility. But that's why you got her the "baby alive", to prepare her for the responsibility of having a real baby when she really is ready to have her own baby. Tell her that you see all the hard work she puts into taking care of the "baby alive" and that's why you think that when the time is right, she'll be a great mother to a real baby. Please dont lie to her! Always tell the truth in a way that she can understand as she grows up!

I wouldn't tell her its real i would simply say u cant have a real baby doll. But if you have left over diapers from her you could let her use a couple for her baby and maybe get her a crib for her baby and clothes and such. She would quite have a real baby just she could pretend it is a real baby by treating it like one hope i helped you
