Is A Recumbent Exercise Bicycle Better Than An Upright?

recumbent exercise bicycle

A recumbent exercise bicycle is a great choice for people that have a hard time using the upright versions. The reason that some people choose this type of exercise bike is due to the fact that it offers more comfort.

There are those people that think that by not using an upright exercise bicycle, that you do not receive a full extensive workout. However, this is something that is up to each individual person’s needs and situations. Base your ideas on your personal experiences with them. Actually, there are not really any differences between the two types of exercise bikes.

The main difference between the two is that instead of sitting upright, you are in a reclined position. You will hold onto the handles bars that can be found by the side of the seat rather than stretched out in front of you.

The main objective for using this type of exercise bicycle is one of comfort. The workout is the same as it would be for an upright version. However, both types of bikes have similar features such as odometers, speedometers, and heart monitors. If you think that one is more expensive than the other, then you will be happy to know that they have roughly the same price range. Should you use a recumbent exercise bicycle is up to you and your preferences.

Wal-Mart. I bought my Stamina brand recumbent bike from there about two years ago for $128.00. the price might have gone up a little since then though. It's great! Here's the link to it on Wal-mart.com... It looks like the price is $134.00 now but it's well worth it. Stamina has a superb customer service department and excellent warranty coverage. I hope this helps.

Not advisable. Go to a sports shop where you can select relevant equipment - exercise bicyle and plan for its purchase if you can afford the price. Enroll in a GYM where all types of equipments are available for you to exercise under the eyes of trained supervisors. Best go out for early morning long walks/jogs for atleast 5 days a week and you will feel a difference.
