The proper rubber stamp storage methods are helpful in protecting your stamps so as to increase their longevity and give you the perfect stamp every time. Some of the most common things that can cause damage to rubber stamps are sunlight, air, heat, and dirt. Before storing your stamps, be sure and clean them properly with soap and water or one of the many cleaners that can be purchased specifically for rubber stamps.

You will want to keep your rubber stamps in containers that do not allow them to be exposed to dirt and dust. For unmounted rubber stamps you can use a CD case, plastic folder, plastic Ziploc bag, or other suitable container that allows you to place your stamps lying flat so that the corners will not become bent. Store the containers in a drawer or on a shelf that is not exposed to sunlight or heat.

For rubber stamp storage of the larger mounted wooden stamps, you can use a small cabinet with shelves, a drawer, or plastic storage container; as long as it is deep enough to accommodate them being placed upright face down as this will help to ensure that the corners do not become bent.

It is important to ensure that the surface is smooth so as not to create any warping of the stamps after prolonged storage. Organize your stamps into categories like animals, letters, flowers, etc., and place labels on your containers so you will be able to easily recognize what is in them later. There are also many rubber stamp storage systems available that you may purchase in order to properly store your rubber stamp collection.

take rubber stampng stamps off wood. need something that will stick to acrylic, but still come off.?
I stamp (cards0. Want to pull all the rubber stamps off the wood blocks for more storage, but need to find a glue that will hold the stamp to the acrylic blocks just to stamp, but then come off right away.

maybe velcro could work?

The HALO mounting system is perfect for this. I have 9,000 rubber images and the HALO system works for stamping and for storage. I have no association with the company that manufactures the HALO mounting system, other than being a very happy customer.

I just unmounted all of my rubber stamps this weekend. I went to my local craft store and purchased EZ Mount mounting foam. It has an adhesive on one side that will adhere to your stamps and the other side is non-sticky but will cling to your acrylic blocks. After I finish using a stamp, I just clean it and store it. I love it. If your scrapbook store doesn't carry it I have seen it online by searching for "EZ Mount Foam". Good Luck on your search and Happy Stamping!!

EZ mount is the best> you can then store them on flat sheets that can fit into a 3 ring notebook.

Honestly, I just haven't had the time to go out and get/find a mounting system for the "rubber" stamps, so I have been using a glue stick and sticking the stamp to the acrylic block. I actually works like a charm! After I'm finished, I just rinse off the stamp and block and put away! I may try a different mounting "system" but for now, I'll stick to my glue!
