Whether you want to sing on a professional level or just want to develop your singing voice for fun, you can accomplish your goal from the comfort of your own home with singing lessons that are designed to increase your vocal range and teach you how to hit every note with precision. The first step that must be taken in order to improve your voice is to understand your own voice including what you are capable of and what level you are at. Learning the proper exercises is also essential when it comes to warming up your voice as well as strengthening your vocal chords.

Breathing and posture are also very important as it affects your pitch as well as your vocal tone. Utilizing the correct breathing techniques and learning how to "ground" yourself properly will enable you to produce a fuller sound. You must also gain an understanding of the difference between pitch and tone which are terms that are often confused with each other as well as the differences between the "perfect pitch" and the "relative pitch". While reaching the perfect pitch is actually quite rare, anyone can learn how to achieve a relative pitch when developing their "mental ear" that allows them to recognize whether they are singing at the right pitch or hitting the correct notes.

By learning the correct exercises it also possible to increase the vocal range by a minimum of one octave.  For those of you who wish to take your singing to a professional level, it is essential that you learn time signatures and how to visually recognize them, as well as how to identify key signatures in a piece of music, and how to determine the rhythm of a musical piece. Singing lessons?
I want to take singing lessons, but they're soo expensive! Is there a way that I can get some vocal training cheap?

You can always take something like Vocal 1 at a local community college. It should be much cheaper then private vocal lessons. Some colleges allow high school students to enroll free or charge.

Please don't. Save your money and take good lessons with a good teacher, even if only when you can afford it. Ever stop to think WHY a lesson is cheap? Odds on, the teacher's not much good. And a bad teacher can permanently damage your vocal chords. Especially if you're under 29 years of age. Better NO lessons than bad ones. Those cheap ones could end up costing you a whole lot more - like your voice.

Probably, but be forewarned: you'll get what you pay for!!!

Education through the city or community college is very affordable. Maybe even join a church choir ... some choir directors are very good about walking you through warm-ups before rehearsal.
