In days gone by a true audio enthusiast would never consider a system like the Sony Xplod car stereo. Alpine, JVC and Pioneer were the main competitors in this arena for quite some time, however times have changed and Sony has exploded on the scene, pardon the pun. They are offering great competitive units at a fraction of the cost.

One popular but inexpensive model from Sony Xplod is the CDX-GT130. This is a nice CD player with AM/FM radio. If you shop around on Amazon, you can find this model available for around $70. This unit comes with detachable faceplate and auxiliary input on the front. While it does not offer IPod compatibility, it does give you great sound for a reasonable price.

For those who are customizing their vehicle this Sony stereo offers a 45-degree installation, which allows you to place this stereo in many unique positions. This unit has all the main features for your music listening pleasure package in a simple to use and install application.

One feature the consummate traveler will enjoy is the best tuning memory; your unit will automatically seek the strongest 18 stations in the area and set them to the Sony Xplod car stereo presets.
