Unique and Romantic Weddings With Tea Length Bridesmaid Dresses

tea length bridesmaid dresses

If you have a wedding planned, you might be thinking about what kind of bridesmaid dresses to include, but you should consider tea length bridesmaid dresses, if you want to make your wedding more unique and romantic.

Tea length dresses are flattering and have romantic connotations. There are a variety of styles, whether you are having a formal wedding or planning a more casual, country-themed wedding.

When you look at all the choices that are available in tea length, it might surprise you how much freedom you have to plan the wedding of your dreams.

Many people go with the long dresses because they don't want their bridesmaids wearing short dresses that look too informal or don't provide enough coverage for the bridesmaids that aren't in the greatest physical shape.

With tea length, you can cover all the bases because they are figure-flattering and only show enough leg to be romantic. This makes them a great choice for any kind of wedding and they are one of the most popular lengths for bridesmaid dresses currently.

For a unique and romantic wedding, consider tea length bridesmaid dresses because they offer a wider selection of styles and colors than other choices

Today's Discussion

Is a tea length bridesmaid dress OK for a winter wedding?
I am planning a wedding for next December. My dress will be a traditional full-length formal wedding gown, but I really like tea length dresses for the bridesmaids. Do tea length dresses seem too "springy" or out of season? The dress would be a sage color with a champagne belt/bow. The wedding is in the St. Louis area, and it seems as though we've had fairly mild Decembers for the past few years, and the ceremony and reception are both indoors. Thanks!

Absolutely - I'd recommend it - it was more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing for my bridal party and we got married during the winter season too... A tea length dress is just fine for any time of year. It's all about what you want - don't let antiquated rules limit the possibilities :) Just go for it & be beautiful! Good luck & congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!

If it's a daytime wedding, that is fine!

I think tea length is great no matter what season. It is the color that makes the difference. Besides, its your wedding do what you want!

yes some can be very sexy and what not as long as you don't do some kind of pastel or floral print you should be OK and alot of tea length dresses can be used again for other partys with out having the brides maid feel to it

Tea length is more about the time of day, not the season. Tea length dresses are meant for DAY TIME ceremonies. Night time ceremonies are meant to be more formal & should have a ankle or floor length dress.

I dont really like the length for winter. However, it is something different and I think it would look great as long as the colors are winter season colors.

They would be cute, but think about the temperature where you live. Are you in a really cold/snowy area? If so, you may want to rethink it since you really don't want your bridesmaids freezing, do you? Maybe they can wear the dresses for the pics and then change into something a bit warmer.

No. Tea length will be fine. Seasonal dress is almost a thing of the past--if wedding attire was really seasonal brides wouldn't go strapless in January. But it's totally acceptable. And it's at least a little more likely that a bridesmaid will be able to wear a tea length dress again rather than a full length dress.
