Tiffany Style Floor Lamps Shed Light on Your World

tiffany style floor lamps

These tiffany style floor lamps shed light on your world with a touch of class. The shades on these lamps are done in a style reminiscent of the Tiffany glass designed between the years 1878 - 1933. There are many different designs for these lamps.

Some are great for reading by. They are shaped in such a way as to hang more over the chair than the regular floor lamps. This makes the light shine on your books better. So if you are reading a lot search out one of these reading models.

The regular floor models are upright with no parts the hang over the chairs unlike the reading lamps. These are quite useful for general lighting in the room they are. Of course, you can read with these lights too, but they do not shine as directly on your work as those designed for reading.

The floor lamps can have very colorful shades done in stain glass patterns, or can have more subdued tones. You can certainly find one that fits the style of your house. Tiffany style floor lamps can fit into modern as well as very traditional designs.

Today's Discussion

I just bought a tiffany style floor lamp what type of lightbulb should I use to make it look best?
Clear, CF, or just regular?

The rule of thumb is.....Clear glass, clear bulb. I imagine your tiffany has color, use a frosted bulb. If more for decoration, you can try a colored bulb which will change the tones in the shade. CFLs will be more white in color tone, unless you get one in the 2700K range, which will have a warmer color tone. Just stay within the wattage rating of your lamp.
