Toddler Bed Comforter - Peace & Warmth For Your Little Tike

toddler bed comforter

Congratulations on your first toddler bed comforter! Your baby has now graduated from the crib to a "big boy/girl" bed.

You have hauled in the toddler bed or converted the crib into a day bed with toddler rail and your little one is excitedly learning how to crawl in and out of their new bed.

Purchasing a comforter may not seem like a big decision, but it should be something you put serious thought into.

First of all, consider your little one's natural body temperature and sleeping preferences.

You don't want to purchase a very thick toddler bed comforter made from very heavy material if your child is naturally warm natured and tends to require less warmth at night.

Also consider the color and type of material that the comforter is made from. Besides keeping your little one comfortable and warm during the night and naptime, this comforter will become a part of the overall décor and should fit into overall feel of the room nicely.

Finally, consider letting your little one take part in selecting their very first comforter. Let them look online at different patterns and colors or consider purchasing a toddler bed comforter with a character or object that you know they really enjoy looking at or playing with!

Today's Discussion

how to make a baby bed comforter into toddler bed comforter?
My nursery is done in classic pooh, and I can not find any classic pooh toddler bedding. I know that Toddler Comforters are a larger size than the crib comforters. Does anyone know the dimensions or how to add to a crib comforter? Thanks!!! I think adding fabric to it would work...but does anyone know how much or the size of a toddler cover? Maybe someone has done this before? :)

Well, here's what I would do: I would go buy a plain, simple, one color toddler comforter that matches the crib comforter. I'd then unsew just the top part of the crib comforter, center it onto the middle of the toddler comforter and there you have it - the pooh toddler comforter!

How about adding a border to the baby bed comforter?

Try sewing a nice fabric around the border of the comforter.
