The Benefits of Choosing a Used Drum Set and Some Advice for Selecting One

used drum set

Whether you are just starting out or are all ready experienced in playing the drums, if you are considering purchasing a drum set then a used drum set might make a great choice for you.

New drum sets are extremely expensive and while you may find the idea of learning how to play appealing to you now, later on you may decide that it is not the right choice for you and you will be glad that you did not spend the full amount of money for a new drum set.

While buying a used drum set can be very beneficial when it comes to saving money, there are a few things you should look for before making your purchase.

The best piece of advice would be to have someone who is experienced in the art of playing the drums go with you or help you when browsing internet websites such as Amazon.com so they can assess the condition of the set and also make sure that all the hardware and pieces needed to assemble the set are all intact.

Drum heads are the most expensive when it comes to the replaceable parts of a drum set, be sure to check when looking for a used drum set whether the heads have been recently replaced or may need to be replaced soon.

Today's Discussion

How much should I sell my used drum set for?
I have a ddrum d2 drum set sitting around that I don't use much anymore. It's used, but is still in very good condition. The only thing you can really see is marks on the drum heads from playing. It also came with a hi-hat and a crash/ride cymbal. Any idea how much I could sell it for?

You should donate it to me! haha. Or depending on your location and how much is idealistic for you, I would buy it. You should research the brand..Look on craigslist and ebay and see how much other people are selling theirs for. Idk much about drumsets.

Best way to find out is to see what they're being sold for on ebay or craigs list. Find a kit similar to yours and watch to see whether their's sells at the price they are asking for. That could give you a good baseline price.
