Why it is Important to Use Wine Cellar Coolers

wine cellar coolers

If you have a substantial wine collection then no doubt you have a wine cellar to store them in, but if you aren't using wine cellar coolers to maintain them you could be ruining your precious collection. So make sure to protect your investment for years to come by using wine cellar coolers.

One of the most important things a cooler does is maintain your cellars temperature at the recommended 55 degrees. By keeping the cellar at this temperature the wine is able to cool the cellar without losing humidity and prevents the oxidation and premature aging of your valuable asset.

By keeping the wine cellar at proper temperatures the wine inside is able to mature properly, slowly increasing its flavor and quality making it even more valuable than when you originally purchased the bottle of wine. wine cellar coolers today are state of the art, making them easy to operate and are user friendly so keeping your wine cellar at the correct temperature has never been easier.

Imagine buying a rare vintage of wine at a fantastic price and then finding out several years later that because it was kept in your cellar under optimal conditions it is now worth much much more than when you first bought the wine. How sad would you be if you didn't have that wine cellar cooler to protect your investment and that rare vintage was worth half of what you paid for it? Protect your wine investments by purchasing your wine cellar coolers today, because you will regret it later if you don't.

Today's Discussion

Is wine better to be drank cold or room tempurature?
We just bought this bottle of wine (I don't usually drink wine, just wine coolers) but we bought this "sweet Hungarian wine" and my friend is thinking of how in the movies they seem to take their wine right off the rack or wine cellar and drink it room temperature..............but I'm thinking "shouldn't wine be drank cold?"...............what do you think............??? It's a red wine

room temp

Keep in mind that if it comes out of a wine cellar, they are usually underground, and cool. A sweet Hungarian wine would probably be best served cold. Most sweet wines are better cold. Drier wines tend toward room temperature for optimum taste.

I think it depends, I know people who like to have some of their white wines more cool than warm, but I don't know about red, I think it is prefered by most people at room temp. I don't drink wine personally, so this info is only coming from observing other people.

Room temperature. It really depends on what kind it is. Red wine is usually drunk room temperature.

if it is sweet, is is usually better served chilled. white wines, zifandels, reisling, chardonay, sangria, etc sweet wines are best put in the fridge for at least 30 min. dry wines ot red wines such as cabernet, merlot, sauvignon are fine at room temp.

It would help to know the exact wine, but most red wines are supposed to be served at room temperature or SLIGHTLY chilled. I think 63 degrees F is considered room temp (not 70-75 degrees), so you may have to chill your wine for a short bit before opening. Most red wines also need to breathe for a few minutes before drinking. This is also dependent on the wine and the age. Five minutes is more than enough. If the wine doesnt taste right, you can always swirl it in your glass a few times and let it settle for a few seconds. Most important though is what temperature you like it, especially when drinking it alone. There are also decanters to help the wine breathe, but I can handle waiting five minutes.

It depends on what type of wine it is. Some should be chilled, some should be served at room temp

some wines are better cold (carlos rioos) and some wines are actualy suppose to be warmed up a bit (some type of spiced one?) and then there are the ones that work best at room temperature..so really it depends on what type of wine. hahaha I would go with room temperature.

Scott
The wine you describe would be best chilled. Many wines, however, are consumed at room temp.

Neither. You drink most red wines at "cellar temperature" which is, I hope, a few degrees colder than your room temperature. The bottle should feel cool to the touch but not ice cold.
